Visualising Compliance: Residential Development in Context

When it comes to planning approval, visuals play a critical role in showing not just what a building will look like, but how it will sit within its surroundings. For this project, our client needed clear and convincing renders of their proposed red brick residential development, highlighting its scale, compliance, and integration with the local landscape.

Urban environments are carefully regulated to protect community character, manage density, and preserve liveability. This particular project required a series of images that demonstrated compliance with planning regulations, especially in terms of building height transitions and setbacks.

The renders needed to illustrate how the proposed development would:

• Respect neighbouring homes and green spaces.
• Transition gradually in scale, stepping down towards smaller residences.
• Blend into the surrounding mix of modern white and grey high-rise apartments.

Working from architectural documentation, our team crafted photorealistic aerial and street view renders that places the development in its true context.

The final imagery not only provided the client with a strong planning submission tool, but also reassured stakeholders that the project had been thoughtfully designed to integrate with the community.
